The College of Media at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is excited to offer workshops that will teach participants how to make strategic data-driven decisions. 

In an era of big data, it is essential to have the skills to quickly decipher what data is important and transform it into meaningful business decisions. 

Data Analytics and Visualization
Chicago, Ill.: May 9-10, $995 and Los Angeles, Calif.: May 24-25, $995
Stop putting endless numbers in your presentations. Master analytics techniques and become a better presenter by transforming data into insights and impactful visuals. This workshop will be taught by Google’s head of analytics. 

Storytelling with Data
Chicago, Ill.: June 6-10, $1,495 and Urbana, Ill.: June 21-22, $350/$500
Telling a great story is an invaluable skill. Telling a great story based on large data sets is a skill you will learn in this hands-on workshop for people in many different industries—journalism, advertising, marketing, law, finance and more. Anyone who needs to glean facts from data and turn those facts into stories will benefit. This workshop will be led by world-renowned journalists and storytelling experts.
